Think positive! And the sticker shock may not seem so bad.
Today a fancy PSD pickup can easily have an MSRP of $50,000 with only Ford factory options. Tomorrow it will have an MSRP of $55,000. Ten percent. Big deal.
But the green-eye-shade MBAs who make decisions for the larger fleet purchases might have to run the numbers twice before spending $10,000 for an optional diesel engine. Ford's V-10 sales may jump up for a while at the expense of PSD sales to smart fleet customers who need the towing and/or hauling capacity of a SuperDuty pickup.
