Changing motor mounts
Hi guys,
I'm about 65 miles away from my truck & manuals. it appears that the driver's side motor mount is broken, I followed advice from awhile ago & finally got somebody to look at motor in gear while I gave it some throttle & the driver's side appeared to raise . So does someone know of a 'safe' point to jack on the engine to lift it enough to replace both motor mounts; or do I need to lift the motor with a cherry picker/engine hoist and do I need to loosen the E40D trans mounts to accomplish this.
I have a very short time to accomplish this this weekend, as my wife is still in the hospital parts will arrive probably today I won't be able to pick them up until Saturday morning.
Thanks, jerry
