Re: do i need dual alternators

Looks like I'll be getting just one alternator anyways. I found out today Ford is no longer taking f450 2007 orders. I don't want to be a test pilot for the new 6.4 and have no way of knowing when it will be ready. My dealer found a 4x4 450 crew lariet with the manning pickup bed, gooseneck, and the exact options I wanted. Not my favorite color, but I can live with it. My only worry is the height of the bed rails and the snow plow prep springs. My new trailer, which I havn't seen yet, is supposed to be built with todays taller trucks in mind. I think this truck will be about 4 inches taller than my 4x4 350, which i hope leaves enough space when I go through a good size dip or rise when I'm off highway. The other item is the front heavy duty coil springs. Anyone have a 450 with them? Chris.
