Well, it appears it was a FUEL FILTER O-RING leaking at the housing on the motor. Maintenance type issue really, as fuel filters are suppose to be changed every 15000 miles. Last time I remember changing it was at 15000, and now we are at 45000...
While I was at the dealer getting the filters changed they mentioned I should have a 45000 mile injector cleaning to make sure my 100000 diesel engine warranty stays in effect too.
I think we were so gun-shy that when we saw the fuel leaking we skipped thinking about the small stuff and jumpt to the worst conclusion and threw it into the shop.
