Mine did it new too torino did not start progressing tell arround the 45k mark and the noise Im talking about is independant of the turbo....although the hpop does live underneath the turbo Im not taliking about the turbo..so perhaps we are talking different noises ..and the one Im refering too only occurs with a warm engine never cold as the orriginal poster cited.....so Im not sure were on the same internet noise page or not....but the noise Im refering to does not occur at idle...so the tech has to command IPR to 45% and run the rpms up while listening to the hpop cover with a stethascope.....hope all this typing helps someone anyway..
