zedbyers, how loud was the noise? Possibly a better discription of the noise? Frequency of the tick, 1/2 engine speed, 2x engine speed etc? Could you hear it over road noise, the AC fan on or the radio? A few tow trucks that I work on make a slight tick at cruise, can only hear it with the radio and fan off, sounds like normal engine noise but maybe not. Did you have any long crank issues?
