Re: Can a brake stand launch cause harm?

I have a question concerning this post. I drove my friends 6.0 and his was a dog off the line. My 7.3 will litterally burn circles around his. We tried every kind of launch and it will not break the tires free. You can hold the brake and WOT and it just sits there. Once you let off the brake, it starts going but really picks up after the first 30ft or so. I was expecting a little more wow. If you step on it from a dead stop with no brake, its like "yawn" for the first couple of seconds. It has plenty of power while driving, but it definitely has no get up and go. Is this normal or is he having some sort of problem. It is a stock 05. From the previous post, it sounds like a stock 6 has no problem lighting them up.
