Re: Can a brake stand launch cause harm?

This thread brings back an interesting event about 6 months ago. Got stuck behind some #$%ass at a red light. He just sat and sat and acted like his car wouldn't start, then about the time the light changed to yellow, off he went, around the corner. Well, by that time, I was fuming (not really sure why), but I clamped down on the brake, and about the time I saw the cross light turn yellow, I tromped it. I felt my brake peddle slowly going lower and lower, and all of a sudden, the back tires started to spin .... whoo-we, a dually spinning tires no less. About the time I thought I would have to dump boost, the light turned green .... all the way across the intersection - 4 black lines. The dude in his ricer next to me was still sitting there when I had to brake to turn in to a eatery. Don't know that I would do it again, but knowing that I have the oomph kinda boosts one up a notch.
