Re: Emission Recall 06E17 on 2003-2004 6.0L Powerstroke

My EBP sensor tube and sensor were clogged with carbon and soot deposits 6 months after I purchased my truck. This caused several dead pedal issues when driving home in the snow January 2005.

I replaced the EBP sensor and the tube then. No more dead pedal issues. To this day I'm still running on that replacement sensor. The sensor should have failed by now but has not. The sensor is the original design part. I do have the updated sensor in my glovebox for when the sensor fails.

My truck is not listed for the 06E17 recall. My sister-in-law's truck was and I told her not to have it performed.

Guess what? Sister-in-law had truck into dealer for routine maintenance work and the dealer flashed the truck.
