Oil Filters

While at Wally World a few minutes ago, I decided to check out the 6.0 oil filters. The Fram's($15 and change) are now made here in the USA, but look like the one made in Germany except for the shrink wrap. They had one box that looked like it had been there for a while. The part # was put on with a sticker, and the box said "Made in Korea", but the filter inside was shrink wrapped and said "Made in Germany". I don't think anyone is shrink wrapping any more even the Motocraft is not shrink wrapped.

Yesterday I saw the Puralator filters are now 2-piece. The filter has the felt washers on both ends and the part that clips to the filter cap is separate so the filter goes in either way then the top fits into the filter. Later I was O'Reilley's and they had the same filter in their brand for $9.99. I don't see any problem in using these filters. They sure looked better that the new WIX.
