I agree we shouldn't bargain hunt for filters, but we should be open to the possibility that some others are as good as OEM. I'm trying the Purolator PureOne filters now. I've used Purolators for years with great success, these seem to have very good filter media (regular purolator looks similar to OEM), and they are comparably priced to the Motorcraft filter found at Wal-mart.
