Your presence on these forums is valued by many, including myself. But you can be extremely smug and condesending at times when it's completely uncalled for.
I'm not seeking justification and I don't care if it's ok with anyone else or not. I personally know a fair number of people that burn WMO in their diesel pickups. Do I blindly follow them? No! But anecdotally, they seem to do so without issue. I asked - repeatedly I grant you - why exactly is it not a good idea to do it. So far, the only thing I've heard is that WMO contains wear metals and contaminants that can cause excessive injector wear. If that is in fact the only compelling reason not to do it, I believe I'll filter it carefully and run with it. If there are other reasons - other than "because it's not recommended by Ford, Navistar, or Grampy" - then I'd like to know.
