I wanna burn waffle syrup in my 7.3 PSD. Is everyone here who tells me that I shouldn't attempt it just working against me? Or is it that CONVENTIONAL WISDOM says it's a bad idea.

I brought up the question of "what would it take to filter out WMO to make it sound", and conventional wisdom from the "brains that be" (someday I'll be a member) was that motor oil contains not only sub-1 micron metal nasties that can score your injectors, but also contains additives that are designed to RETARD its combustibility.

I believe the general consensus was that by the time you were able to get the WMO to the point where it may be usable fuel, you wound up with a huge expense to create a small oil refinery/distillery, and nearly as much waste product as the WMO in the first place.... thereby nullifying the project as a whole.

Don't confuse the input with "working against you"... it's just advice telling you that it's probably not a good idea. But hey, it's your name on the pink slip, and your time to pursue.
