There is a fixed set of parameters that is the actual programing of the PCM that makes the truck run, these have to actually be programed into the PCM. Then there are the learning parameters that constantly adjust while you are driving, I would describe them more as fine tuning of the programed parameters that take into account the driving style and other variables. These learned parameters, trouble codes, and other information are kept in the PCM unless power is interupted in the keep alive circuit. Disconnecting the batteries will erase these parameters and your radio stations as well. However there is a fuse(no 10) in the fuse box under the hood labeled PCM Keep Alive Power that when removed will do the same thing without losing radio or other settings.
