So about a month ago my trip computer stopped working(the little thing on the roof that tells you direction, mpg, and outside temp. I have an '04 F250 and haver heard that they are expensive to replace, just wondering if maybe there is a trick to turning it on or off, or maybe if a can check a fuze. I checked the manual but it's more confused than me, not to mention a little battered when i threw it across the yard. Any help would be nice, thanks.

Okay enough beating around the bush. My buddy has a 01 Cumminsand it's stacked, and I want to sh** on him. I have a 2006 6.0 6spd, CFM+largemouth kit, AFE Stage 2, ARP headstuds, currently running the street tune by IPD, 5 inch MBRP but I ordered it with the cat delete option so that I could eventually pass smog, so I have a cat delete pipe in it right now which is basically a 3 1/2 straight pipe as we all know. so basically its a fakie 5 inch. In short, I want the loudest 6.0, I don't care what I have to do. I am a rookie to this, and I am sorry for how stupid this may sound, but I am just a yound powerstroke fan looking to tell then cummins to stick it where the sun don't shine. Born 7.3 naturally aspirated with a banks turbo, learned on it, did my first brake stand in 96 7.3 1ton, got a 6.0, promised my daddy I would never buy or stand down to a Dodge.

Hey guys I got an 04 F-250 113,000 miles. It is mostly stock except an exhaust and i blocked off the egr. I'm lookin to get a tuner next probably SCT. Most of my friends with 6.0s blew the head gaskets within a few months of tuning their trucks. I know i gotta put studs in sooner or later, just wondering if any of you guys have been running tunes with stock head bolts for any long lengths of time without any issues...

I cant decide between a monitor or gauges. Ive been looking at the edge insight and isspro gauges but I just cant decide. I like how the monitor does alot more then egt, boost, trans temp, and fuel pressure. My main concern with the monitor is lag. As of now im leaning towards the monitor its cheaper and looks at alot of different stuff.

ok, I just want some opinions. do the ISSPRO EV Gauges with the white face and red pointer match well with the LARIAT gauges at night. I just traded my 05 extended cab in for an 06 crew cab. I had the Phantom II on the 05 but i didnt think they matched with the stock gauges at night time. any pictures would be a plus too! thanks guys!

I just purchased my first PSD after many years as a chevy fan. I prefer not to give my money to any dealer and want to know if there is a recommended site to get the "bro" pricing.
I am looking at having to replace the EGR valve / cooler, oil cooler combo due to oil in my coolant overflow and am doing it myself. I scanned through the vendors / site sponsors and did not see anyone that sold these items.
Also a ?, for those that have done it. What all parts / gaskets do I need to get? Thanks in advance for any help

SCT X3 Tunes

Who is the top tuner? Spartan, Innovative, who else??? My truck got re-flashed at the dealer so I need to get updated tunes installed on my X3. I bought it from Innovative. I emailed them several times with no response. Finally I just called. Turns out I need to pay an additional $65 bucks to get the tunes emailed to me. Not real cool, in my book. When I first was dealing with Eric, he seemed to bend over backwards. He really helped me out with my broke X3 when I got it. Oh well. Since I am going to have to pay then I can look elsewhere too.
My truck is stock with an exhaust (turbo back). I am looking for a great all around tune, a towing tune and a economy tune. What is the word on the street. Who is the best tuner right now?

OK Guys,

I made the leap from my Edge system to a SCT X3. When I try to flash the truck I get an error that reads "Error 1019 Unlock ECM failed"
I checked the wire that I was told needed to have 18VDC on the OBDII port all the way to the PCM when the device attampts to " Unlock" the computer, all checks out good.

I just wondered if there was anything I could try before I send this thing in to get it checked. I want to be sure I'm not missing a possible problem with my truck.:read:

I have a 06 F-250 and when I got the truck I purchased the Diablo Predator for it. I never installed it because I was hearing that it would blow the head gaskets. Has any body had this problem or any other problems with instaling the predator in a 6.0 engine?

Thanks

Fuel System - Upgrade or not?

Okay folks, I'm getting ready to pull my cab to do Head Gaskets, and Studs. I am still running the stock turbo and stock injectors and plan too for awhile. I don't use my truck for racing, but mostly for a daily driver and towing.

My question is, should I upgrade the fuel system while I have the cab off? And if you answer yes, which system and why?

I have done a lot of research on crossover lines, regulated returns, stage one kits, stage two kits, etc. I have been planning on doing an airdog as I like the way it removes the air from the fuel before it gets to the injectors. But due to all of the other parts I am buying, I can't afford to do a full blown regulated return and an airdog right now. And I understand that now is the time to do the fuel system as the rear of the heads will be in easy access.

I guess I'm just confused as to which way to go for now. If I was to add larger injectors in the future, they would be a small increase over stock for towing only.

I appreciate your response and help.

Replaced EGR Cooler with Bulletproof Cooler

I just wanted to post my experience with my EGR replacement from Neal Technologies Inc. (Bulletproof EGR). I called and got an answering machine stating to leave a message and they would return my call and they did, promptly.

I received the EGR cooler and was very impressed with the workmanship. One of the few good moments I had during the repair. While in there, I rebuilt the oil cooler and put the newest HPOP STC fitting kit (4C3Z-9B246-E) in. I did not have the 13/16 crowsfoot to properly torque the fitting. I spent a whole day finding that crowsfoot.

I boxed up the old cooler and sent it back with the provided shipping label. My core was credit immediately upon receipt.

I understand that a lot of people prefer a different solution to the factory EGR cooler, but if you choose to keep the EGR system intact, then IMO this is a serious improvement over the factory cooler.
