Aftermarket Air Intake Test Data/Comparisons

Does anyone know of testing done on various aftermarket *air intakes*? I’m looking for data comparing available aftermarket air intakes to see if: #1 – do they “make” a difference; #2 – which one is quantifiably the best product to go with. I was not able to find any information at this site via searched achieves. Thanks in advance for passing any information that would be helpful.

Sincerely,
2008 Gold Thunder:ford:

What Spartan power to use

I am interested in buying a Spartan tuning device for my 09 F350. I regularly tow 10,000lbs in hilly terrain. I notice they have a wide variety of hp levels. Is there a description of what each tune does and what they are designed for? How do you decide which one to use? I'm not into drag racing, just economy and towing. I've tried emailing Spartan at the address on their web site with these questions but their email just bounces back "5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'5.7.1 Mail from 64.59.134.9 rejected; by cwm dnsbl'"

Thanks
Kerry

Banks, because i know you read this forum, is there any need for the exhaust pipe to protrude that far into the tip? Its hideous...

Upfitter switch general knowledge

I am going to pick up my 2010 F450 tomorrow. Not that I am going to do anything significant right now but is there a feed out to under the hood for these switches? Like a loom these are contained in and available to wire up whatever you want to run from uner the hood? Are they grounded already and you just plug in and viola, you have power to the device and toggle at the same time?

a comparison would be something as easy as pluging a wiring harness from a fifthwheel into the recepticle and you have power to the trailer.

Are there any plug ins under the dash and how accessible are they? Is this something better left for my own exploration or can a simple explanation be given here? maybe a bit of info so i will know what i am looking for.

if you care to take a shot...thanks.
