Just got my first diesel a couple weeks ago. 2009 F250 FX4, love the truck. I want to put a cold air induction, exhaust( i dont want anything real loud just a little different sound, mainly for performance) and a tuner on it. I am wanting to hear everyone's opinion about which ones to go with. I'm looking to get better mileage and a little more performance. Thanks :ford:

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Here is my contribution to annoy the hardcore diesel members here with some newbie question nobody cares about, but I'd like some opinions.

I am trading in my 2002 F-350 for a 2009 F-450 CC Chassis that I am going to use for work. I currently have Husky Liners in the 350 currently, but am wondering if there is something newer and better out there. I've had Husky Liners in 5 out of the last 5 trucks, and I have been pleased with them. I would get them again, but after spending $70k on a truck, I want the best of the best in it.

Recommendations?

Thanks,
Brendon

Dump bed configuration

I just ordered a 2010 F-350 Cab & Chassie and plan to install a pto driven dump body. Everyone I have checked with has told me that due to the exhaust system, you CANNOT install the hoist without a subframe like you could on the 2007's. This applies to the 2009 trucks (and I guess 2008) as well. My question is has anyone installed a dump bed without adding the 5'' subframe to accomodate the hoist? Having the bed sit up so high will make it hard to reach over the sides and into the bed. It will also look like crap with so much space between the tire and bed. It looks like Ford has forgotten people still use these trucks to work in and with a little engineering, the exhaust could have been routed closer to the axle to accomodate the hoist. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As the title says. What all is involved ?? Can you do high/low and fogs? What's the cost? Can I switch between Low and High beam without delay? Are there any drawbacks to HID?

I currently have the stock setup. For me the best lighting comes from the low beams with fogs on. High beams light up a greater area but the light is not as bright. There also seems to be a dead about 30 yards in front of the truck.

The problem is Fabtech is not going to guarantee that there kit will work on the 2010 (because they havn't fitted it up on a 10', yet). What I'm trying to figure out is have there been any changes in the frame or suspension on these trucks from the 08' model to the 10' and if anyone has installed or knows from sure that this kit works?? Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated!!!! I mean greatly!!!! Thanks for any help in advance!!!
