Maybe I missed the party, but we passed 100,000 members with no fanfare?
When I joined in April, 1999, my member number was less than 1,000. But we grew like weeds and I still remember the big hulabalu when we hit 10,000 members a year or so later.

If it was 100,00 PAYING members then there may be some mention. I doubt the "owners" even pay attention to the number of members

Its great that we have so many members but it is kind of sad that many more don't join in the festivities around here. Most users on at one time was 1793 about a year ago which is less than 2% of the membership.I know too many people could jumble things up but, 5-10% would be great.
OK so now it's up to 100554... but that still doesn't mean much.
There are 69,780 members who have 5 posts or less.
923 have only made 1 post.
And 39,775 have NEVER posted.
How many have multiply usernames? I've had 4 since 2000
And how many have left and joined other boards because of the BS here?
Now out of your 100,00 who's still active?
very true--and if the edmunds trash keeps up--more will quit coming--who built this site anyway---it wasnt the damn advertisers--

Bilbo, I tend to agree in principal with you, but my expectations, I guess , are different.
I have been around awhile, even wrote Jason a check back when he was struggling to keep the site alive and asked for help from us.
I remember when this site was THE authority and resource for owners of Ford Diesel powered trucks, and was also a great place to go to shoot the breeze about the events of the day.
My participation dropped off some when the ability to shoot the breeze about the events of the day was eliminated, and has dropped off even more as the fundementals of the site have changed in all the ways that have been well-documentd elsewhere.
Recently, I returned to seek assistance with a problem with my truck. The folks, as usual were a help, but quite frankly the changes are now so dramatic that this place is now in the list of sites I go to when I need to for a specific reason, not just to see what is up with the state of the art or whatever.
The experience navigating and using the place has, in my humble opinion, deteriorated to the point where it just is not worthwhile under non-critical circumstances.
