Yeah, it always amazes me the folks that run back and forth between here and yonder, critizing here, run back and joke, then back here again. Childish.

Re: 59988 Registered User(s).

what gets me is why do they fear a place with 2,594 users.....when this place has 60,058 members.....Hmmm,Goliath Afraid of David?I use both but prefer the other place.I can't jump ship here or all these newbies in the 7.3 IDI forum won't have any answers. There is only a few of use people that know about the engines left active over here.

Re: 59988 Registered User(s).

While big, TDS is hardly a Goliath when compared with almost 310,000 registered users at yet another dedicated Ford site.

I doubt TDS ownership is afraid of anybody BTW. Bigger or smaller.

If that other site is dedicated to Ford diesel trucks, them I'd like to find it. But if you're talking about the gas crowd, I'm not interested.

Nothing could be further from the truth. You need to step back from the personal aspect and look at the business aspect, because that is exactly what TDS is, a business.

The typical Ford dealer does not line his shelves with Chevy ads (I say typical, because I know for a fact there are some dealers who sell both). Likewise, you don't walk into Lowes and find ads for Home Depot. Do you see folks walking in to Ford dealers and throwing a fit because their competition is not displayed?? Or walking into Lowes and throwing a fit because there are no Home Depot ads?? No you don't. Yet it happens here practically daily.

We do not deny that the other sites exist, just as Ford does not deny that Chevy exists and Lowes does not deny that Home Depot exists. We also do not do anything to discourage anyone from joining the other sites. In fact, several of this site's administration are also members of other sites too. We realize that TDS cannot be THE site for everyone and honestly, for some folks, the other sites might actually be a better fit. If so, then that is fine, enjoy them, we do not begrudge you for it. But those sites are our competitors and it is frankly, unreasonable to think that TDS should allow links to it's direct competitors. Most other business do not, so I ask you, why do you think TDS should be any different??
