Article acknowledgement please

Jason, Several weeks ago I sent you a very large article on doing head gaskets and a turbo on a 6.9L. I know it may be a while before you use it, but it would be very appreciated if you could acknowledge recieving it, so at least I know there wasn't a problem with the submission. You've also hinted at a large backlog of articles that need to be published, so maybe for the benefit of all you might list what you have that we can look forward to seeing some day. Thanks. - Mel.

You should have received an acknowledgement if you sent it to submit@ford-diesel.com

Re: Article acknowledgement please

Jason, I think I got an automated response at the time I sent it. That wasn't really what I meant though. Maybe you could be more reassuring? - Mel.

Re: Article acknowledgement please

Due to the volume of e-mail we get, a personal response is highly unlikely, sorry. Ford-Diesel.Com generates 50-75 e-mails each day .. hard to reply to them all.

Re: Article acknowledgement please

OK. Fair enough. It is not my intent to come across the wrong way, but I have to be blunt at this point, since your still not answering my question. - Did you recieve my article and are you going to use it? I know there are others who are asking the same question, and it is not my intent to drag you out on the carpet and beat you with a stick. It is just that a lot of us are seeking to help you develop content for this site, and we just need direction and to know if we are wasting our time or not. We all respect what you have here, and you are fortunate that others are willing to submit content. We just need and deserve the minimal communication that a webmaster should provide. "Go pee up a rope" would be better than nothing at all. Thanks. - Mel.

Re: Article acknowledgement please

I know Jason's backlog must be pretty large -- I sent in several articles back in May that are still on the shelf...

Re: Article acknowledgement please

Hi, folks -

I don't know anything about articles or editing of articles. But if I had an article I wanted put on this website, I wouldn't even talk to the WebMaster - he's too darn busy keeping the site running. Instead, I'd go beat up on one of the articles editors.

At the top of this screen is a menu bar with "editors" as one of the choices. Click on that, then scroll down thru the various admins of this site, and you'll find two different articles editors. One of them is Dogan Perese, and his e-mail address is dogan@tmstechsys.com . If Dogan isn't involved in preparing articles for posting on this site, then we need to change his title.

Re: Article acknowledgement please

Smokey, OK. Good advice. It looks like there are 3 or so people listed as Article Editors. How can I tell which one got my article? Do they recieve them directly or does Jason divy them out? I guess I'm asking for too much here. I can get a free answer for just about anything related to my truck, but nobody knows anything about articles. I don't want to sound bitter, after all what do you expect for free right? - Mel.

Re: Article acknowledgement please

It is on the to-do list and we did receive it okay. Now that Summer and racing season are dying down, I should be able to get several posted.

Don't send articles directly to the editors. I divide them up after they are received.
