attaching a file

I want to know how to make a file available to users here to download.

I made a neat little spreadsheet that allows quick conversion from "liters per 100 kilometers" to MPG. Its really only of use to Canadian drivers, or folks who might be visiting Canada, but, I thought I'd share it with those who are interested.

How to I attach it?

Or must I post it to a website for download? If so, can you suggest a website that would allow me to post files for download and not charge me an arm and a leg?

You don't. In a post, you can include a link or hyperlink to it, but not an actual attachment.
