August Biggest Month Ever!

Once again we have set new records for both # of hits in a month and the biggest total day. In August, we have done 9,300,000 total hits with 3,700,000 pageviews. That equals to about 56 gigabytes of traffic for the month.

I don't know anything about this stuff.

How could you have fewer pageviews than hits? I assume a hit is when anyone logs on to www.ford-diesel.com or any address (URL) within ford-diesel. So what is a pageview?

Can you tell how many different folks have logged on to the site within a period?

Re: August Biggest Month Ever!

Smokey, I would assume a hit is when someone first connects to the sight and views the page the URL they used to attach is displayed. A page view would be any links on the sight that they followed that led back to another page on the sight itself. congratulations to Jason again! I vote we have a rally in his front yard, and get him and his wife a really nice present. Like another new server! - Mel.
