Avatar Image Rules #2

This might have been left out which I know will be helpful to many cause I've seen it happen all to often.

When you are getting the URL from the pic properties of the offsite website, MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT SIGNED IN. The URL will be different. And when this site tries to access that pic without your password, the pic will not return. Therefor, once you have your pic uploaded to the offsite, make sure you log off, then access the pic as anyone else would without signing in. Then do the right click and get the pic properties.

If you re-read the posted instructions, they say "The following steps assume that the avatar image is uploaded to TheDieselStop.com Photo Gallery".

Other hosting locations probably have different issues. Webshots and others, I'm not familiar with those particular requirements.

If you're talking about Webshots, you can be logged in but if you look at a window on the right you can click on "community viewing" or something like that, a new url will appear (the public one) then you copy and paste it for people on here.
