Big Ford Dealer ,2K 350's,Turbo Bolts Missing!
When I was searching for a F-350 PSD my 1st stop was the dealer that sold me my 99 F-250 PSD.The day my son and I stopped to see what they had in stock we spotted 4 2K F-350's, all DRW,which is what I wanted.They were in the used truck section at this dealership,all parked in front on the main road for all to see! As my son and I started to check them over a sales rep approached and I requested the rep that sold me my 99.While we waited I thought it would be ideal to see if the 2000 models were carrying on the famous turbo bolt nightmare.Guess what! Two of the four had the same thing that a lot of us have been through! 1 missing and 1 backed out on the top! Four trucks side by side and two of them had turbo bolt problems! Anyway the rep shows up after about 10 mins. and I spring the surprise of what I had found. Response-" Holy ----! Are you serious!?" Out comes the portable phone! 10 mins. later there are four F-350's, hoods up,in front,on this main road! Mechanic and tools going from truck to truck,mumbling to himself. I thought it might be a good time to drop the question-"Don't you guys put all these vehicles through a thorough inspection?" Response from the rep and the mechanic-"We do." These four trucks were almost new! Highest mileage out of the four was 26K. Leaves something to be said about these "thorough dealer inspections".
