Bothered by some questions

I dunno if it's just me but I'm a little bothered by the security type questions that are regularly occuring on TDS. Some recent examples are;

How to remove steering column cover
Power locks easy to break into?
keyless entry

Maybe I'm being a bit to touchy and for the most part TDS members are giving non-specific advice. Still there are some that I feel are to sensitive to discuss here. Any possibility of locking those down? Anybody else feel the same way?

Re: Bothered by some questions

The moderators and administrators do lock/delete threads that discuss "security" issues. They don't read each and every thread or sometimes it takes a little bit for them to catch it.

Re: Bothered by some questions

Just like the Moderators here, it is hard for me to see all posts, but if I see one that does not pass my personal "smell test" I let them know and when I do they take care of it........Hig

What they said! Send it to the moderators if you feel it's "out of line". They do a great job policing the site, that is meant with the utmost respect

You might just be a little touchy about it, anybody that really wants in your truck or whatever else you own will find a way in without asking questions.

Nothing wrong with locking down those type of threads either.

Re: Bothered by some questions

This has come up before in the past because someone posted that our trucks were easy to break into. The thread was locked right away and the post deleted.

I myself would have liked to know what that post said. I guarantee that a thief already knows how to get into my truck and doesn't come on here looking for advice. There are other sites dedicated to that kind of stuff and most of these guys learn that stuff on the street.

But for me I don't know how to and would like to know ways to further prevent or hinder someone from getting in.

Just something to think about.
