chips and rear ends help please

we have a 94 F350 diesel, crew, dually. Had the banks power pack put on (small one it looks like judging from the banks website). Truck pulls 10,000# 99% of the time. Truck has all the POWER in the world. Because I go out on the road while Bob stays home, he wants me to have a new truck. OK But test driving these 2001 critters, they just feel mushy and like they have less power than my 94. Was told yesterday that I could put in a chip that would help and not void the warranty. So this AM I am researching and seem to have hit it at a good time.
Jason your work is wonderful and all the power to you for taking the time, effort and money to do your research.
Will these chips help a 3.73 or do I need to get the 4.10. Bob wants to gas mileage, power and ease of parking of a 3.73 SRW - but he wants it in a DRW 4.10. Aw gee.
We have talked to a couple of guys that are using the 3.73 and are pulling (one a SRW and one a DRW). The DRW pulls a 30,000# bulldozer - so we figured it could pull our 10,000# Ok.
We are scheduled to get one tomorrow afternoon, but I can drag my feet when necessary.
It is still short notice, but any information you can pass along would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, brightstars, and Welcome! to Ford-Diesel.com.

This website has several forums, each reserved for it's own topics. You posted your message in a forum that's reserved for "Discussion of Ford-Diesel.Com itself. What do you like or don't like, kudos and complaints, comments and suggestions. "

Although you complimented the WebMaster in your post, the primary thrust of your post is a technical question about a new truck. Your technical question(s) can best be answered in the forum where we discuss '99-up PSD Upgrades and Aftermarket. So I'll move this post to that forum. Look there for additional responses to your questions.

The following is a link to the Upgrades forum. Click on it and you'll be there.
