Correct decision.

Jason,
Your decision to not allow a certain individual to use this site in furthering the B.S. is the right one.
If he has a so-called fix for certain problems, I suggest he registers his own domain where he can carry out his game there..
I have seen this guy threaten members with law suits and scold anyone who asks questions his integrity..

The law suit thing, (a threat that demonstrates his common sense) has upset some members.
This is not in the spirit of this site, I do believe.
Personally, I think this individual has some serious personal issues and needs to show respect for rightfully suspicious members.

Re: Correct decision.

I feel somewhat vindicated now, having been one of the suspicious ones early on. It was amazing how many just worshiped the heck out of that guy.

Re: Correct decision.

These kind of guys come and go on forums. They feed off of them and you. They love to jerk your chain. And that was what was happening. Mr. Lester its your site, don't worry about hurting someones feeling, Cause you will always hurt 50% and make 50% happy.

Re: Correct decision.

350sd,
I have been a member of this site since Sept of 1998. Over 2,000 of my posts were wiped out when the server crashed while I was logged on.

This individual has never filled out the bio, so that was clue number 2..
Why did he not reveal his occupation before?? God only knows.
I would think if he had a knowledgeable diesel background, he would have been proud to state that in his bio.
If you want clue number 1, just go back into the archives from the ABOL days. Some of this guys older posts there were real gems.
Although differences with personalities sometimes do clash, this guy has taken it to a new level.
He has threatened to sue members when they clash.
To threaten to sue someone from another country over hurt feelings??
Please!
Any lawyer would tell him to get a paper route, and a box of kleenex..

The NDA thing is the biggest joke of all and reveals his intelligence.
If a fix kit does exist, the last thing I would worry about is a tester talking..
Talk all you want, talk, talk, talk....
Word of mouth is the best credibility
I think a tester trying to "copy and patent" this product while in the safety of their own personal garage would be more of a threat..

Re: Correct decision.

well,,,i got here after the "fix" stuff was already in the air. I would like to be able to talk on forums with K.L. about this stuff,,,,guess he won't or has been told by jason not too,,,,

i understand the need to favour paying advertisers,,,,,oughta be a compromise somewhere,,,,

The thread should have been shut down till that compromise is worked out.

Maybe $ out of each "product" sold should be donated to this site from the moneys of anyone registered during the product discussion here so that all knowledge obtained here for commercial gain is payed to the site it was obtained from.

When you buy this "product" (if ever) and provide your registration date for this site and it falls in the predetermined dates,,,,$ are donated from that sale to here. Sort of like a coupon, or "back taxes"

maybe it is all true,,he has a fix,,,,
maybe not,,,,,

can't we find a way to talk to about it on here? I am real prejudiced probably cause i need a "product" like this,,but I also need this site to survive too for help on other issues.

So,,,,i'll be sending a donation shortly. Now would that make me a paying sponsor so I could talk about anything i want? Not being a smarta**,,,,just grinning out loud, although really, i would rather be a smarta** then a dumba**

meanwhile,,to get on subject,,,I believe Jason did right,,,,,for now

it's real possible i don't know what the hell i'm talking about too.

Re: Correct decision.

George, 350sd has been here as long as you have. He changed screen names a few months ago.

Just pointing that out.

razerface,
It's nice to see someone post a calmer outlook on the issue instead of all the ranting and raving.
