Descriptive Topic Titles, Please

I don't want to be one to rock the boat, but I have a request that I think will help all F-D.com members. When I scan the new topics, some topics have titles that communicate the subject without having to click in. Good examples are "Are your turbo bolts falling out", or "Question on tire size", or "Coolant change procedure". Anyone reading these topic titles know what they are about and can explore further if interested or skip them if not. But other topic titles give no clue as to the subject. Examples of these are "Need help", or "Anyone experience this?", or "Anyone done this?". Browsers have no idea what these posts are about and often waste time investigating only to find the subject not pertinent.

Am I alone here, or do others feel the same way?

Agree, but that would be would be my rule number 2. Rule number 1 would be "Search before you post." Jason could cut his storage needs in half if he just deleted the 4,000 posts asking what size tire you can put on a stock rim.

Re: Descriptive Topic Titles, Please

I agree with you on this. Sometimes I click on a same topic on different days that I was never been interested in, in the first place, because I can't tell what the topic's about and I've forgotten what it was that I wasn't interested in. How's that for a sentence!

But I think it's a loosing battle on this issue.

Jim

Re: Descriptive Topic Titles, Please

I agree with all who came before me. I'm not shy about posting, but I try to make it worthwhile.

The search engine rocks!
