This is DUMB ...

If I happen to inadvertantly exceed the 8 "Graemlins" allowed per post, then my post gets bounced back with a note to that effect, and FINE, no arguement, I chop off a few graemlins and resubmit the post. But them BAM it instantly refuses the resubmittal because of the "60 second" rule between posts.
HEY .. it is NOT a NEW post, it is the SAME OLD POST that didn't flush through the first time on account of being over-graemlinized. Now, since graemlins are hard to spot in the code form in a long paragraph, it is hard to tell just when you have just 8 left on the page. Then, a simple "submit" becomes a battle between notices of the excess graemlins and 60 seconds flush period between posts. I sometimes just give up

Dan,

If you hate this board so bad, why don't you start your own? This is the third time in less than a month I've seen you complain about something or another. Geez.

Re: This is DUMB ...

There are good reasons for both features. There are scripts out there that will automatically "spam" messages boards like UBB. The flood control keeps that from happening. The graemlin rule is there just because it is annoying for some people (like me) to see a message with all these icons all through it.

Dan,

When that happens to me, I figure it is F-D.com's way of telling me that it's time to (slowly) walk to the refrigerator for another cool one...

I don't recall ANY of my posts indicating I "hate this board so bad", and my just now completed review of the last 30-days posting on this forum shows only ONE (1) post by DAN HARBAUGH and that particular ONE (1) is today's post.

Yeap, I have had that problem before.

I just wait the 60 seconds and then go on.

It is a pain but that is the way the cookie crumbles.
