Events List Worth Considering?

Great web site. This is one of the easiest web sites to navigate that I have seen. Great job, and kudos to all that put this thing together.

Anyway.. back on the subject. Would there be any value to an "Events" page? Items like truck races, shows, and user organized get-togethers could be posted. As a Harley rider, I see that a large number of biker related sites (dealers, aftermarket suppliers, etc.) have an events page and it is helpful to me when planning my weekends.

I think it would be a blast to get together with 100 or 200 other PSD owners for a bar-b-que or something similar.

I am new to diesel pickups and perhaps there would be no value in something like this.

Just a thought.

Heavy Metal,

Great Idea. I only forsee one problem as Aussie's are addicted to barbeque emissions. Ray Freeman will undoubtedly torment you until you invite him. Then you are going to have a problem: How would you get him and his truck to your house? Plus you might have to serve Crocodile and Foster Oil Cans!

Good Idea
Keith

>>>Ray Freeman will undoubtedly torment you until you invite him....Foster Oil Cans!<<<

Well, Ray is certainly invited to the Texoma get-together in April. And I sure hope he brings a pickup-load of Fosters with him!

Seriously guys, I'll bet Jason would be glad to have one page devoted to something like that - provided there were one or more volunteer(s) he considered reliable to create, edit, and maintain the page without putting more requirements on his valuable time. PSD related only [e.g., no bikes!] Who volunteers?

Re: Events List Worth Considering?

Aussies, I thought you only had subarus, just kiddin. What to drive....

Seriously, I'd be happy to maintian a list of events for others. I have several available e-mail accounts I don't use. One could be set up for posts to the events calendar.

Most newspaper, TV, and radio guys require 2 weeks in advance. Keep it PSD or truck, diesel related only. I can even research some of the weekend and evening courses on diesel mechanics offered at various Tech schools, Community Colleges, etc. etc. etc.

Jason, I'll need to take a crash course in UBB, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Ready, willing and able.

Re: Events List Worth Considering?

An Events page would be nice!! (if its not too much trouble) It could be used to discuss the upcoming PSD rallys or maybe for any other event, as long as it wasn't "discriminating" or "tasteless".
