How long....

Do you plan on letting this go on before someone (from above ) responds to the obvious problems ?...

When the new owners took over ,administration was here every stinkin day to smooth out the transition, & , moderators were here every day along with them ,to help point out the new rules....Now that they have everything the way they wanted it ,,,here we sit ,,still helping all of "their customers" ,waiting for a response to why the site is slower than all the rest ...

On top of that ,, I ,and a few others have become supporting members ,,, to help with the speed of the loading , & ,In my case ,, I was proud to do it ,,,,only to find out ,that everyone can do what we can do...Except for the stickers & more room for PM's ...

All that seems to have accomplished for me is ,,,a bit of ridicule, for my contribution ...If you want "supporters" to take off ,,like on other sites ,,you need to make It mean something ...

If anyone has been reading these posts ,(again, from above at least me),,you know exactly what I mean...

I can think of a few choice things to say ,,,but I know that would get the wrong response to my post ...

If I get one at all....

I want to know what the plan is for repair ... or at least have administration man up and tell us ,,"this is it "" take it or leave it "

I'm not going to come here and say I'm done with this ,,, but due to the lack of traffic on the pages I watch ,,there's not much to do anymore ....

Let us ,at least ,make choices ,based on the truth.....

I agree with Rick. The silent treatment from the Admins will only drive people away(the ones who answer questions and make this site possible, What's a forum without knowledgeable members to answer questions....). I could live with ads, I could live with buying a lifetime membership for access to a faster server (FTE has that...) but the problem is that many don't have DSL, T1 or cable hookups so even switching to Firefox (I have done this and I am still undecided if I will be switching permanently) to make 1 site out of the whole WWW is not going to be an option so those people will just stop coming to this site.

I will say already that TDS is only half the site it was a year or two ago. There are many still here with great knowledge that are willing to help others but a slow site will drive them away. I suggest everyone of us sends an Admin a PM a day until we some response.

I will make this very easy for all of the member who wish to do this. here is a link to the Admin's profile. You can PM from there

Yep, the site sure is slow. I would imagine with the amount of posts you have in such a short time, it must be driving you up the wall!

I don't come to chat much anymore, mainly use the site for repair and maintenance info. Otherwise, I've moved on......

Let the sponsers know just how disappointing this site has become.

I seldom spend any time here anymore. It's just too slow, despite me being on broadband with a fast computer. Too bad, because this site was chock full of good, knowledgable people and a good classified section. You'll find me spending more of my time at Ford Truck Enthusiasts and Power Stroke Diesel dot org.

I mentioned all of this to a couple of the site sponsers. They were all ears as I related all of this to them.

I dunno.......the fact that no one from admin has even acknowledged that there is a problem tells me that they are content to just sit back and get the Google ad money check for the Kotex MaxiPad and Betty Crocker cake mix ads that we are forced to wade through.....

I did get a PM response from Administrator this afternoon. He said that was the first he had heard of the problem, it was loading fine for him but he would look into it. I implored him to respond in this forum that they were looking into it but I haven't seen that at all.
