I came, I saw, I left maybe forever---this sucks now

This site is a total nightmare. Hard to navigate, the search feature doesnt even work, my old saved important threads are gone OR I cant find them, the navigation back to where you were after a post sucks. Im sorry but thats the way it is. You probably dont care about one more leaving because its a big, corporate, impersonal site now.

I came in here after a few months away and I have a big problem that needs a fast answer about batteries. The search feature wont even bring anything up. Im going to another site to try and get help. Oh well.

Buh Bye.

I too am a bit tired of this site. It takes quite a bit longer than other sites to load due to the ads. the site loads fast, and there are actually people raising and answering issues each hour. This site has given me a lot of information and the users are great. But if I wanted to look at the Dodge Ram 1500, I would go to a Dodge site and look or go buy one!

I miss the old site!!

Whiners! It's a free website not a $40,000 truck. I don't know why you expect it to be perfect in your eyes. It serves a purpose, and well enough that users, new and old, visit everyday. BTW, if you internet GURU's would turn off your internet explorer phishing filter the site loads much faster! So maybe it's not the site and ads that are slow, but microsoft's security features!

I use Firefox with ad-blocker. Their are no ads on any of the sites I go to unless I turn it off. I find this site as fast as any other, their are all kinds of programs to deal with this stuff. I wish it was only as easy for my television

Obviously you're new here and have no idea what this place used to be like before the new owners took over and ran off most of the regulars with all the slow loading ads.

The search on this site has been screwed ever since before the new owners took over. It is funny in that one time it works fine and then the next you can forget about it. As far as being slow, I haven't noticed any problems in quite a while. This might be because I am a paid supporter of the site and don't see any of the adds. If that is the case I think that I may of got my moneys worth. As far as the cost I just figured what the old site saved me in cost of a repair and decided to put in my support for it. But that is my contribution and any of you have to make up your own minds what you want to do.

100% Correct.
I get tired of the old whiners that come around and complain about how bad this place sucks and how good it used to be. It is what it is. Webmasters may change it, but until they do, the complaints should be directed their way. And FWIW ads pay the bills.

If you didn't notice, the topic of this forum is:

"Discussion of TheDieselStop.Com itself. What do you like or don't like, kudos and complaints, comments and suggestions."

If you "get tired" of seeing see "complaints, comments and suggestions", maybe you should avoid this forum?
