The amount of spamming on this site is out of control. By all means, put them tastefully on the sides, top whatever but dont create a user who spams every third post with pennzoil. I for one am so irritated if I was ever looking for oil all I would remember is being pissed about the spam and hoping this advertising campain fails for them and they pull the ads, It really is out of control

I can live with the ads, I cant stand the user created for the sole purpose of spamming every other post

Perhaps you need to link to the post and the users name so the rest of us know what you are refering to. Did you open up a link and then enter your email? I don't know of any other way that you could of been spamed. One thing is that I have never been spamed from this site since I have been a member.

I don't know what your referring to. The only time you would see a pennzoil ad or any ad between messages is if your viewing the site as a "guest". Pennzoil is one of the leading sponsor of the site.

Logged in and out jumped to several pages and Pennzoil never popped up even once. Not that it would bother me???

I just loged out and checked it and yes a advertisment for Penzoil showed up. The user name was

But as can be seen it is labled as a "ADVERTISMENT" and not as a "Member"
