IP banned problems - Diesel Forum

Ive been a member here for about 6months. In the last 3 or so when i try to login it say that my ip has been banned. So i would move on and do something else and try the next day, but still the same. This originally went on for about 2-3 weeks, then i check back and everything would be fine for about a week. Then it would go back to being blocked. This all started on my home computer.

It has now started to occur on my work computer.

I have sent emails to the admin but no reply. I would like to try and get this sorted out before i upgrade me membership.

Your registration IP address (121.45.132.55) is not banned. I would need to know the IP addresses you are attempting to log in with that are banned in order to help you out. If you can get the information to me, I will look into it further. PM me with the IPs that are not working. Thanks for your patience on this. Cheers!

i have exactly the same problem here. i get the same message ,but seems to last 24 to 48 hours then i can get in.
i even went to another site i had never been to ,and got the same message. the site was owned by the same people.
the site was about 5th wheelers and camping.
it annoys me to get locked out of this site though. i have had this problem for a while ,and once posted about it. sorry i cant link that post. me to ,emails were never answered.i only have one computer which is my laptop, and no one else ever uses it.

I don't remember just for how long but once you log on to the internet you are assigned an IP address or I should say leased. This is for usually 24 hours and that is why if you pick up a banned one you can't log on. If it happens again you can go to THIS SITE and it will let you know what your IP address is so that it might be corrected. This is one problem in banning IP address's instead of members.

thanks bugman, ,i went to your link and found my ip# 124. 185. 127. 84,.
the location it gives is about 55 kilometers away from me though.
maybe some one can check it out for me .
i am in no way a computer guru, just self taught, so this is way beyond me.

I also am having the same problem. But mine may be a little different. I am in Afghanistan, and whenever I get to go back to Bagram AB, and I try to log on there, it blocks mine as well. I know that the private service we use there goes through Hong Kong ?????, but, I haven't had a problem until recently. I also sent quite a few notices to the Admin, but no response. When I am not at Bagram, like now, on a FOB, I do not have any problems. Is there a way around this for me when I go to Bagram?

I should of been a little bit clearer in my post. What you will need to do is bookmark the link to find out what your IP address is. Then if you get the "IP Banned" message again go to that web site and write down the IP address, then once you get back onto here at the Diesel Stop give that address to the Administrator so that he can take care of it. Even then it may do it again but might not be as frequent.

Ok just got back from a 5 day ban, sent my work IP off to the admin, still banned ot home. Will get that IP tonight and send it off aswell.

99250, your lucky you only get banned for 1 day. 5 days is a sort ban for me.

Ok am currently banned at home and work (posting from my phone).

Work IP is 121.214.193.204 at the moment, but that will probably change tomorrow.

Home if have reset my modem 3 times and got 3 different IP address ;
121.45.188.127
121.45.61.248
121.45.216.104
all of which are currently banned, and again will all change tomorrow.

This is getting pretty annoying, why do they ban based on IP and not username. As alot of people will have a rolling IP?

An IP address is unique to each computer and is assigned by the ISP (internet service provider). Your IP address can be on the banned list because someone else using that ISP registered and went to spamming. Banning a username will just cause the spammer to re register with another name.

I Think that's how it works

FWIW: using bugmans link my IP address shows Stockton, Ca. ( I don't live there)

I am currently in Afghanistan(deployed) nd have the same issue on my personal laptop, but i can access from work. I will get my ip address and forward it to an admin.
