Jason--Speedo Calibration on FAQ

Hi Jason
First of all we are all sorry to hear about your loss. Second we thank you for the best site on the web.

WOuld it be possible to add to the FAQ list, info on Speedo calibrations especially the post from Beagle1 on the specific how too and possibly a list of the rotatioal codes for different size tires. Recalbrating a speedo is fords best kept secret. I went to 3 dealers on my 99 and now on my 2001 went to 3 more. THe dealer that did ny 99 lost their best technition and they either say ;i;t cant be done or it can only be done with the few specific tires listed in the computer. I finally found a guy that was real good and even knew that if you take the mathimatical number or the number from say BFG you need to add 2 to 4 points to make it accurate on the ford. This subject will come up again and again and the searches are long and time consuming.--Just a thought. OH by the way--it took the guy 10 minutes to program the speedo they charged me a mimimum 1/2 hour labor so it cost me $37.00. ( not bad) If you are in colorado springs and need this done go to Phill long chappel hills and see the service writer named tim I believe--he is a master mechanic turned service writer. Greg is the mechanic who knows his stuff.

Re: Jason--Speedo Calibration on FAQ

Jason may not see this thread in this forum. so I'll move it to his forum, the News, Comments, and Suggestions forum. Look for his response (or Shawn's response - Shawn is the FAQ editor) in that forum.
