LOSE SURVEYS !! (or vote here if you want to see the pointless survey threads go BYE)
I don't care how many have or don't have the friggin' cackle, knock, snap, pop, crackle, whatever!!!!!
The topic was started 8 MONTHS ago ! I don't want to see the "results", because I doubt that this "dieseling at 20 thousand leagues under...." fella has tallied the first bit of info.
TAKE IT TO EMAIL ALREADY!!
I mean ****, are we gonna wait until ALL 10,xxxx MEMBERS RESPOND?!
That'll make for some nice, quick connection speeds...

If you don't like the surveys, don't read the surveys. Sounds pretty simple doesn't it? I can think of a lot of other more important things to freak out about personally.

David, i too could take it no longer about 6 months ago. let it go, man. it don't matter. things could be worse; we could have more "my truck is faster than your truck" posts.
tis better to not read that which is the root of the frustration than to continually beat your head against the wall. jason/moderators do a pretty good job of keeping it down to the simply ridiculous. hang in there, man!

Tsnake,
Remember the "oil drain plug Torque" question.
There's plenty on nonsense to go around, but there were a ton of replies.....
BTW, how fast IS your truck ..

I regard the cackle issues kind of like my wife on a bad day---go to the barn and forget it
Regarding the space issue, we can not easily complain down here, at least not fairly
Least you forget, we have filled 4 or was it 5 pages on "Ignore", we have had surveys on steak houses, beer, number of cylinders--what was that Troutly--clyinder count index?
I could waste a lot more space if I counted them all.
Not to mention the Ray/big jake show
Added in edit: Cripes, I forgot to vote in this survey Put me down as "No Opinion"
Added in edit edit: Holy Moly, I should have included our most recent survey--"Mars"
Gosh--I forgot!

I do not see what the fuzz is all about. If Jason doesn't have a problem then there is none. So, why did the chicken cross the road?
Re: LOSE SURVEYS !! (or vote here if you want to see the pointless survey threads go BYE)
Is there any demand for a form-based survey?
I actually have been fiddlin' around with cgi, perl, and mysql and have the basic frame work of a more complete survey worked out. Its no where near complete yet, but headed in the right direction. I'm not sure where it will go either...I'm in transition right now so it may not have a home for a while. Or it may never surface. Who knows..depends on my schedule.
I have some basic functionality such that each authenticated user can enter information about a number of trucks such as bodystyle, birth date, mpg, location, mods, etc. and I've also got it rigged up to dynamically generate plots based on parameters specified by user input using gnuplot. Real cool. Recently I've been looking for a freeware GIS system because it would be real cool to coorelate latitude to mpg and other features.
I'm not sure if GRASS would do what I want.

If I choose not to read a thread, I "don't gotta" read it.
