Member status

Each member seems to now have a status, i.e junior member, member, and senior member, however there does not seem to be a consistency in which these status' are assigned. Is it based on how long you have been on the board, how many posts you have made, or some other criteria. I would like to know. Thanks

Me too! I joined this club back in 1999 and now I see I'm a Junior Member, so it must be based on posts. I don't post a lot, but I do read posts a lot.

I don't think it's based on posts either, I saw a member earlier, that registered in July 07 with around 34 posts who was a Senior member, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

I was wondering the same thing. I saw others with fewer than 50 post as Senior Members and others with over 2000 as only members. I myself when the change first happened was just a Member and then sometime afterwords I became a Senior Member. I think that something in the programing is still updating things.

It is based on post counts with the following breakdown. If you find someone who has a different post count and not in the right category, please let me know.

I think it should be set around the 2500 mark myself.

I'd be open to coming up with a new ranking system if we want to take a stab at it... lets all come to a concensus on it.

Maybe you can make that the First TDS poll in the new poll forum,to be serious this time, say anything over 1K posts would make you a senior,or over a year membership if you don't post a lot, just a thought.

Hide the post counts. Give titles to 500, 1k, 2k,4k,8k etc. Every site I visit has post hoes, who post nonsense just to get status.
