need some guidence...

Hello everyone, Im a new user both to the site and to the Ford Name. I Just purchased an 03' F-250 Crew Cab, 4x4, with the 6.0l. I have read alot of the posts here and was hoping I could get some help with what i should be watching for and possibly adding. I have read many posts on FLASHING....if it is how i understand it they take the computer and reset it????? And why is it soo bad. My truck was made in 4/5/03. Is this a bad year to buy?? Leaky fuel injectors is what i keep on hearing, is this something i can take back to ford now and have them fix it or do i have to wait for them too leak. All in all i love this truck, hell of a engine. I was researching the Edge Attitude, i do not tow much at all and i would like to have some fun on the roads by turning the HP up. Do I really need to change the Exhaust and Air???? And is this Edge Attitude goin to really mess up my truck, i have heard stories of probs shifting. Hope you all can help. I prob should of bought an 04' but it was the centenial edition with the four bucket seats and i got a great price on it. I hope I did not make a big mistake.
Thanks.

Re: need some guidence...

Welcome to the site. This forum is about the site in general. For technical advice post your questions in the powertain forum or upgrades forum. When you go to the main index, scroll down until you find the forum that best fits your question. There are one or two forums dedicated to your 6.0L. Check those out if you haven't already. Come on down to the basement and check us out in the 6.9L and 7.3L IDI forums. We're the grand and great-grandpappies of the 6.0L. Enjoy the site and never be afraid to ask questions. Also use the search function in the forums. Set the time frame to all posts so it won't limit your results. Jason just upgraded the software and the search function has been slow to get moving again. Be patient and this site will provide more information than you'll be able to absorb!

Next time you go to "MY Home" scroll down to "Personal information" and click on edit. Scroll down and fill in your signature with the specifications on your truck. It helps us to help you when you have a question and you won't have to tell us what your truck has every time.
