Why are so many categories(forums) 99 and up? There are a lot of us 94-97 PSD owners that would like to see some of the forums opened up to include these neglected behemoths.

In the day before this software was installed, anytime a forum got over a certain amount of posts, the whole house of cards crumbled and the site crawled along. Around 22-23k posts per forum was the number if I remember correctly.
The original 99-up forum did this in 3 months. Then it did it again in two months. Then one month.
Finally, instead of archiving the forum every week or two, it was decided to split the one large forum up into 5 forums. It balanced the load on the forums much better.
Unfortunately, the 94-97 forum does not receive nearly as much traffic as the 99+ forums. As of this reading right now, there are three forums in the 99+ catagory that have more threads than the 94-97 forum does. All the forums in the 99+ forums are on par post-wise with the 94-97 forums.
This is why the 94-97 forum is not split as the 99 is.
Not neglect, sanity.
Does this explain it for you?
