New Forum Software Update

I just updated to the newest version of the forum software. It has a few new interesting features:

<UL TYPE=SQUARE>
<LI>Topic splitting - topics that are more than 25 posts long are now split into more easily manageable pages of 25 posts. There are links at the top and bottom of each page to the other pages in the topic. Saves bandwidth when viewing popular topics.
<LI>Message icons - you can choose your own icon when posting a message. I'm using the defaults right now, but it's easy to add more. Not sure if I like it yet, but we'll try it out. If any of you are artists, I welcome new icons submissions. They must be 15x15 and in GIF format.
<LI>Topic transfers - now if I or the moderators feel a topic is more appropriate on another forum we can close the current one and move the entire thread to a new forum in one step. This will make it easier for you to find your topic if we move it.
<LI>New list-type UBB code - allows you to create bullets (like these) or numbered lists using UBB code.
<LI>Faster searching
<LI>Topics are no longer displayed by default when you reply. There is a link at the bottom of the reply page that will open a new browser window with the current topic in case you want to refer to it. This also saves bandwidth.
<LI>Better cookies - the last version may have messed up your last visit date/time and messed up the "new" lightbulbs and folder icons. This should fix that. If not, follow instructions below.[/list]
If your new folder icons and lightbulbs are not resetting, click on the Preferences link at the top of the Forum page. Then, click on the link to delete all cookies. While you are there, you might consider changing some of the other defaults. For example, if you visit at least once every 2 days, you don't need to see all the topics from the last 10 days.

Thanks,
Jason

Re: New Forum Software Update

Doesn't matter to me. It can have up to 100, but I think that would be a bit much. It would be nice to have one for the engine, one for the body, etc. 15x15 doesn't give you much to work with though.
