During the upgrade, something went wrong with the table that tracks which posts you have read. I had to clear out the table to fix the problem. This means that all posts will show as being new for you the first time you visit. I recommend going to My Home and then clicking on Mark All Read to get your info back in the table so that new posts will be tracked correctly.
As last week was my first time posting anything, I like the descriptiveness of the information today. Like the box for 'add signature' or 'ok submit', very descriptive and easy to use.

Now I'm getting all the posts marked as read. I still get the "new post" icons on the forum list, but when I enter any forum, I don't get the red numbers anymore.

Hmmmm when I first got on I had no reds at all, so I went to my home and used the "mark all as read" option and now a few minutes later I'm getting new posts showing up in red ... so while is was funky (technical computer term) for a while, mine seems to be working now.
Under the heading "extra information" the middle block is now empty, in the past it contained the link for the last 24 hours, is that link gone forever or have I overlooked it? I like having the new member listing back and the birthday listing should be interesting to watch.

Well yesterday I couldn't get rid of the red numbers, now I don't have any. The forum still shows new threads, but no red numbers denoting unread responses.
Yup, me too. Yesterday I couldn't get rid of the unread marks, today I don't have any. Be careful what you wish for.

I've closed about 5 or so threads on this topic with a post referring members to make there comments here so if there is some sort of glich you might be able to better sort it out and not have people reporting future problems in multiple threads.
BTW I did the same with "where's the search" question which has cropped up in many other forums here and been moved to this forum by me or another mod.

Mine does not show red until I enter a reply on a post in that section, THEN it will show red numbers.
When first coming on...it shows NO red at all.

Mine did the same thing again last night. I fixed it by following these steps:
<ul type="square">[*]Click on My Home[*]Click My Cookies[*]Click on Expire Cookies (this will log you out)[*]Click on Expire Cookies again (just to be sure)[*]Click on Login and log back in with your username and password[*]Click on My Home[*]Click on Mark All Read[*]Click on Mark All Posts as Read
Your new post tracking should start working properly now.
I did some form of that and it took twice, but everything has been working correctly today. I had some trouble after the first attempt that seemed to work for a while and imagine I left out a step or two that I did the second time, but can't remember exactly what I did.
