Notify moderators button?

Well it took your assistance to find where post ratings show up (in the extra information section), but for the life of me, I cant find the notify moderators button. I think this is a nice site, and really haven't felt the need to use the notify moderators button. I usually use flat mode, am I missing something?

Not to knock the current great moderators, sometimes I feel you guys have seen it all.

I would like to see frobozz and jschira become moderators, if they so desire.

Jschira likes to break news, which I like, and Frobozz has an even keel, and can any answer about any question, and takes the time to so.

I am glad to see so many new posters. Just today I saw several new guys post the good with the bad (love it but hate the problems).

But to get back on topic, where's that button. Thanks.

Re: Notify moderators button?

Look right below your vehicles and you will see the words "Post Extras." The notify moderator icon is the third one over.

AK_Grandy,

Thank you very much.

I never thought about the post extras line.

Someone once told me, if you want to learn something hang around nice, smart people.

Thanks.

I just happened to see another post recently about the same thing and somehow remembered it. You're very welcome.

Re: Notify moderators button?

hmmm, personally I take a dim view of the whole concept of snitching.I kinda figure that if you don't like something you see in a post, you should just scroll up or down to go to the next post or if the situation is truly horrible, click the back button...
I just really can't grasp a situation where I would find something in a post written by someone I don't know, that would cause me to take the time to run to someone else that I don't know, to tell them what the first person had so offensively posted.
I get this image of a 6 year old boy running to his mother to tell her what his little sister just did...

Re: Notify moderators button?

That's one way of looking at it.

Me personally, I can't recall reading a post I was offended by. I've had a couple directed at me that made referencer to my parentage and a few suggestions that are physically impossible but I don't report those.

The theads I have reported usually have vered way off course and turned into a mud slinging contest.
I have clicked on that little button a few times. I am convinced it does no good. I think its a placebo. Like that little button on the pole at the crosswalk.

I sort of like being a fink, snitch, rat, tattle tale, nark, peach, sing, squeak, squealer, stool pigon, blabber mouth, betryer, give away or turn in people. Makes me feel needed.

In otherwords, if somebody is offened or just bored. Click the little button and let the moderators decide if something needs to be done.
