number of lines in signature

I know this probably sounds like whining but just thought I'd ask the question.... I was sent an e-mail from the website that my signature line was too long (it was 5 lines) which I don't have a problem with shortening it but I've seen alot of signatures since then with as many as 7 and 8 lines to them.........what gives? Was I given false information or are the others just ignoring it when they were told to shorten theirs?

Re: number of lines in signature

We set them at three lines a while ago. I imagine those with long signatures are getting asked to shorten theirs also.
