I noticed you locked a couple of new comers posts. I think this was over kill seeing that they were posting on the forum that fits the vihicle they have and will be chating on. Wishing Merry Christmas AT Christmas I feel was appropriate ( where is your spirit??). OB-1, I'm not bashing just think a little ease would have been nice.

This Web Site has a forum specifically for issues concerning the operation of this site. This Thread is off-topic for the 94-97 Power Stroke Forum and has been locked on this forum and moved to the "Ford-Diesel.Com" forum. The "Ford-Diesel.Com" forum is read and moderated by Jason, (the owner of this Web Site).
Please post threads in the appropriate forum.

And when Jason breaks the '99-up forum into several sub-forums, we're gonna need more guys like OB-1 to close threads and move them to the correct forum - which is gonna perturb many folks who are too lazy or don't take time to think. It's a thanksless job, but somebody's gotta do it. Thankx OB-1.

I agree, for the most part. Threads should be posted in the appropriate forum or things really get to be a mess.
The wording of the post doing the locking is a little off-putting though. Maybe that could be reworked a little. Wouldn't want to run people off unnecessarily.
I agree with the closing of the thread. But the language was cold and indefferent. Maybe because I'am from TEXAS and were just friendly folks down here.

I agree with OB-1, for moving and closing. I also feel there was little need for sensitivity as he was just stating fact. I don't believe he was trying to alienate or offend anyones nature I just think that he gave direction. Impersonal maybe but not offensive. Don't take it personal I know he didn't mean it to be.
Plus:
Sensitivity is for those of us with curves!
We are mostly men here and I don't plan on having any of you in my bed!! So why waste it!

Administrators, no one will argue with you about being correct in moving the thread. Being nice about it never hurt anyone, though. What would be wrong with:
"Welcome to the ford-diesel.com site. While we appreciate new members introducing themselves to everyone, the best place to do that is in the Other forum, as this one is for discussion of _______. This thread is being moved to Other for future postings."
Courteous, friendly, and no extra verbiage. Just a thought (which is a rare enough event for me that I simply HAD to tell everyone!).

I agree with you kreynol2, you were better at expressing it. I did'nt thing that OB1 did anything wrong, just not as friendly as this site normally is. I just felt bad that the new guys might have felt run-off by the abruptness of the warning.hope they stick around.
I agree with the admins. Without them keeping things organized this site would be chaos.

Howdy Folks!
First time I popped into the forum since yesterday afternoon and again we have a threads in the 99-up Forum that doesn't deal with those trucks.
Threads that are not specific to the Ford trucks, and are General Diesel engine debates belong in the General Diesel forum.
I am closing this here and moving it to the correct forum.
In the future, take care to put your threads in the appropriate forum.
Sincerely,
Jay
Diesel Jay, I for one appreciate the friendly and polite manner with which you perform a thankless job.

Not trying to start anything here BUT, I've been to Texas and if your not female forget it.
If you're from the north, well lets just say you're not going to win any popularity contests.
I try to live by the do unto others thing.
I only point this out because you guys from Texas are laying this niceness thing out every post? I'm always trying to be nice here, except to JThorp and his D****, just kidding!
