OK administrator GEEK question.

I'm on the wifes computer and I just got the done and blank page for about 3-4 minutes. My wifes computer is hooked to the same dedicated cable line as my computer. Her computer is a so so one year old HP that cost about $1,000. I have the (done) blank page and long delay everyone is complaining about on hers from time to time but never on my computer. I'm not a computer geek but I do know my computer has (2) quad core chips and (2) 10,000 rpm sata drives, and 4 gig of ram.

So here is the computer tech question, why does this site do the long delay on a good computer with dedicated high speed cable but does not do it on a very high end super computer? I can't possibly believe that this site is that busy or memory needing that ya need a very high end computer to not have the long delay.

I'm a civil/mechanical guy not a computer/electrical guy but there has to be some reasonable answer as to what is going on here.

BTW I'm also on at this very second another VBB site that looks exactly like TDS, the V-twinforum a harley site, that is not doing this.

In that both sites look similar and both are VBB format how can they operate so different?

You know, I am not sure. Are both machines running the same browser and all of the settings virtually the same. If you are using the same dedicated line to both computers, there should be no issue. The only issue would be that there is something up with the slow computer. You might try using Firefox on the slow computer just as a diagnosis tool if you dont want to use it as your primary. If it works, there is something up with IE.
