Don't want to appear as a whiner or ungrateful for the work you are doing, but it is literally taking minutes to switch between forums, and to switch between topic within the forums. I have not previously experienced such poor performance on this list

Guys, are you by chance using Netscape? It appears the update and Netscape do not get along as well together as I.E. does, for most people. I have found it necessary to abandon my trusty Net 4.76 in favor of I.E. to get any speed and it does appear to be better.

Go to utils on the home page and if you have a firewall turn it off or it will not let the signals through.
The ping sends 5 signals to your computer and lets you know how fast the signal is coming to you from the site.
The trace sends a signal from the site and shows how many hops , or hubs that the signal has to go through to get to you and where they are located. If you have a few * , this is where your ISP is having problems. You may notice " alt" in there also and this is where your ISP is rerouting around problems, this usually does not sow it down much.
You can take your cursor pointer and put it on the two little TV looking icon on your task bar and leave it for a few 2econds and it will show you the speed of the connection to your ISP in bytes per second. The lower the slower. It needs to be above 30,000. The only thing you can do if it is low is to sign off of your server and reconnect a few times to see if you can get a better connection. I have to do this at times. If you cannot ever get a high number then your only options are to change ISPs, go to cabel, DS; or satillite.
Hope this helps a little

I use a T1 line at work, and this site used to fly there, but now creeps, but I am using Netscape there. At home, I am using IE, but the best speed I can out here in the boonies is 26,400, and again, the site is WAAAAAAY SLOOOOOOW. Hopefully Jason can keep tuning and tweaking on things. If only it was as easy as chipping it....
