photo hosting login?? - Diesel Forum

Trying to log in and all I get is invalid user name or password. I have carefully tried several times and still can't log in any suggestions????

In checking your "user" info, I noticed that your "login" name is different than your displayed name. The login name is what is supposed to work together with your password. Is that what you tried??

Jason has said that your login and password that is used for the forums is the same for the photo site.

I'm having the same problem for my account in photos (under Rancho_Loco), and have e-mailed you guys three times asking for help.

Rancho_Loco is a different registered member #. It shows as #32577
Your Rancho_no_Progresso shows as member # 8112. To post photos under that account you would have to login in using the username and password for that account when the account was created. So no, you wouldn't use the same username and password you use for the forums because it is an entirely different account. Beyond that, I don't know what the problem could be.

Dick, I have tried several ways plus the indicated correct way and it still tells me invalid etc.

Any other suggestions??

The Photo system actually authenticates directly to the forum user database. If it works on one, it has to work on the other. If not, you wouldn't be able to login here. The username and password are both case sensitive.

Thanks Jason. That's what I've been saying. They both work from one common source. If one works the other should. However, probably a lot of people do not login regularly to the forums (using remember password) and when going to the photo site to login for the first time or a repeat time after an extended time away, the probability could exist that username and passwords aren't as fresh in memory as they might be if they were used regularly. Only speculating here!!

As Jason pointed out, make sure you have the username and password correct including case sentisivity.

I set up my photo account under a different user name, and with a password that I commonly use for everything.

It won't accept my log-in, and when I click on "send me my password", it says it doesn't recognize my e-mail...I only have two e-mails (ever), so I've gone through every combination, and still no go.

Should I just make a new account? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img]

In looking at member # 32577 (Rancho_Loco) the login name is not the same as your displayed name like you have for the Rancho_no_Progresso account. You set a different login name. Are you using that login name?

Both your Rancho_Loco and Rancho_no_Progresso have the same e-mail address listed under the member profile section.

I don't see the need for a new account.

Have chekced everyting you have asked and still no luck. It's not a big deal as I don't use the photo section that much. I can live without it and just stick with the rest of the site which is super terrific!!

According to your profile your "login name" is: pabrannan Is that what you are using together with your case sensitive password?

I see no reason it should not work according Jason's explaination.

I had some problems a couple of weeks back and you gave me every tip I needed and I still had problems. Like the moron that I can be at times I was not logged in on the picture site [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] I felt like a complete ass after a couple of days trying to change my pictures [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vulnerable.gif[/img] so remember to login on the picture portion. thanks again Dick for your help [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]
