Re: photo under signature

First you scroll up to the top of this screen and notice the two menu bars. Then you notice that on one of those menu bars is a button for "Search". So you mash that button, then search on your keyword - in the most-likely forum - for a reasonable period of time. Then read the results of the search.

To save time, you might decide to read only the posts by a smart, good lookin' guy named SmokeyWren. If you searched on this forum for the last 3 months on the keyword photo, you'd find a really good answer to your question: Click here to read it.

Re: photo under signature

I think what Mike40 was asking is how do you put a logo under your name in the left hand box that give you name, location, and #of posts. Smokeywrens Texes or Utah's flashing light...That is a good question.

HOW DO YOU DO IT?

smurf764, scroll back up to my first reply, and where it says "click here" then you must click there. That's a link that takes you to an earlier thread where I explained exactly how to do it.

Re: photo under signature

Smokey,

I am being real dumb here, but I still ain't getting it. I have the .gif file loaded into my gallery here, but it still won't work. Do I have to have the image located somewhere's else for it to show up in the left hand box?

Dave

Re: photo under signature

Does the URL in your photo block end in .gif? If not it won't work.

In your gallery, get the photo on your screen. Then right-click on that photo. Then click on "properties". Then highlight the URL in that properties screen, and right-click on the highlighted URL. Then click on copy.

Next, get into your profile and paste the URL into the photo block. Be sure the URL ends in .gif, and it should work. But it may take several seconds for it to show up in your posts. Some GIFs are slow to load, and in the meantime you'll have that little red x instead of a gif.

Re: photo under signature

Smokey,

The small picture under the username can be other formats other than .gif.

From the page where you load the URL it says: "URL to your picture (65x75 max pixels, may be smaller) (.gif, .jpg, .png accepted)"

I noticed that your picture is a .jpg. Mine is a .jpg also

Thanks for helping me out in this area.

Dick
