someone sent me a message that my pix beside my name is to large (1/2 meg) and said it was taking to long for people who use dial up. So I deleted it and I was to use this one but it doesn't end in JPG. I can't get it to work. can you help?

Try this. Go to your gallery. Don't open the picture. Just right click on the thumbnail and copy the url that is listed. Then paste it into your profile.

On edit: In the meanwhile I'm going to copy that picture. Shrink it down and I'll put it up on my gallery where you can copy it.

hey brother. I copied the URL and placed it in the pix place for the url but it says that the pix is the wrong format. the old one worked but it ended in .jpg the new one doesn't end in jpg. here is the url you did for me. any other ideas why this will not work? thanks

You have it working but 49512 bytes for an image of 65x75 pixels is quite large. I resized it to 65x75 and uploaded it to your album. The image is now 3k in size. I have changed your profile to reflect the new smaller file size image. The URL you had was the medium sized image that you have in your album which was then getting resized by the photo program to be "avatar size" and fit into the area allotted for avatars.
