Please Fix This Site

Forum pages are taking almost 10+ seconds to load.

Don't tell me it is my computer, its not. I post on a few other forums and NONE do this except Diesel Stop. I have access to 3 computers here at home, they all hang up on Diesel Stop. I have tried computers at work as well and they ALL work fine everywhere else except Diesel Stop.

DieselStop home pages loads instantly, its fine. It is the forum pages that are slower than molasses. This all started when thedieselstop got greedy with advertisements.

I have just about had it with this site!

I was at my wits end with the slowness of this site too. Then, I downloaded a Firefox web browser, just to try it out. There is a night and day difference in the speed. I am running a 2 year old computer with the DSL and my average page download time is in between 3-5 seconds (depending on the time of the day).
Try the Firefox and see if it speeds up for you, I now that it did for me...

One more vote for Firefox. Not sure what it does different form IE 7, but if you are tired of waiting, its free and works a lot faster.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE Fix This Site !

With the implementation of this new software (vBulletin?) the site has gotten terribly slow. Something is wrong, and the site administrator(s) need to address the problem.

I see numerous comments from other members expressing similar concern about the responsiveness of the site. What needs to be done to get some atttention?

let me borrow you name a minute crabby,

naw, they just like to ignore the dozen or so threads on the subject.
each with another few dozen replies.

It is not vBulletin® Version 3.6.8 though ..powerstroke.org runs it just fine
looks almost the same...except blue. it is something though
track back, adware ..some minor code glitch. maybe the banner software.
the fact that a flashblock speeds up. might have something.
i don't think the banners or ads cache so that may be it..

Download Mozilla Firefox. I've got 2 identical computers running and the page loads are only about 5 seconds with Firefox.... With Internet Explorer I am waiting over a minute per page.

5 sec is still long ..ANY other site is faster..period.
they must have some boss's kid still living at home writing the code.

I run spy bot and all that stuff.
BUT i shouldn't have to download a new web browser
because of some web site's sloppy code.

From the time I log onto this site until the page for forums loads is about 3-4 SECONDS.....not minutes.
I have Firefox as it is waaaaaay better than IE and have been using it for about 4 years.
I am not sure if IE is the sole problem or not, I am just giving you my feedback to compare.

minutes has to be dialup..or a pooched browser from adware and bot infestation.
I did notice a speed increase or at least less ads when I logged in.

I am trying niot to be too negative with my comments..
but I am tring to get the squeeky wheel greased.
that is just better for everyone. happy users..make for happy vendors.
vendors pay the bills.
